Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
Termetry is built local-first. The short version: we do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. Everything the app knows lives on your device.
Data we collect
None. Termetry contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting services, no tracking, and no accounts. We operate no servers that receive data from the app.
Where your data lives
- SSH credentials (passwords and private keys) are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system. Keys generated in the Secure Enclave never exist outside your device's security hardware and cannot be exported by anyone, including us.
- Server metrics and history (CPU, memory, disk, network measurements, and similar) are stored in a local database on your device only.
- Server details (hostnames, addresses, ports, usernames, tags) are stored on your device only.
- Logs you view are fetched from your servers on demand and displayed; anything you export or share goes only where you choose to send it.
Network connections
Termetry makes network connections only from your device directly to the servers you add, over SSH, plus the standard network diagnostics you explicitly run (such as ping or traceroute). There is no intermediary service: your metrics and credentials are never routed through, or visible to, any third party.
Purchases
Optional Pro upgrades are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's standard in-app purchase system. We do not receive your name, payment details, or billing information. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
Termetry uses no third-party services, SDKs, or data processors.
Local network access
If you use LAN discovery to find servers on your home network, iOS will ask for Local Network permission. Discovery runs entirely on your device and your local network; nothing about your network is sent anywhere.
Children's privacy
Termetry does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and change the date at the top before the change ships.
